Timber Art Club is dedicated to nurturing the curiosity and creativity of children, guiding them to explore the wonders of the world through art. Through engaging art classes our mission is to empower kids with the lifelong skill of creative thinking.
In response to the diminishing emphasis on art education in public schools, Timber Art Club aims to provide parents and teachers with valuable resources to complement their children's learning. Recognizing art as a crucial form of communication, we believe it enhances a child's ability to express their understanding of concepts and fosters their unique creative ideas. Given that 65% of the population are visual learners, utilizing art in education becomes a powerful tool to aid in their learning journey.

In this session we will be drawing…..drawings lots! Dive into the whimsical world of drawing with our creative drawing class designed just for 9-11 year-olds! Unleash your artistic spirit as we explore basic principles, craft characterful creations, and bring drawings to life on paper. Get ready for a whole lot of fun – no intense vibes, just pure creative joy! 🎨✨
Tools needed: paper and pencil! If you prefer working digitally feel free to bring a drawing tablet with drawing software already loaded (ProCreate preferred).
Most classes will be held at the Electric Theater but we will occasionally meet virtually over Google Meet.

Canva Design 101

Embark on a digital design adventure with our Canva 101 class tailored for kids aged 11-14! Learn the ABCs of Canva software in a playful way, and then let your creativity soar through fun graphic design projects. Get ready to turn your ideas into awesome visuals – it's not just a class, it's a canvas of endless possibilities! 🎨💻✨
Tools needed: either a computer or a tablet with the canva software installed on it. Canva Pro is required ($14.99 per month / free trial available) in order to take this class so please factor this outside purchase into your budget.

Hi, I'm Adam....
Hello :) I’m an illustrator and designer from St George, Utah. I love to draw and design and I’ve been blessed to be able to do it for a living for a number of years now. I have illustrated over 50 children’s books and have worked with many great clients such as Scholastic, Harper Collins, Hallmark, Disney, Fisher Price, and many more great folks.
I started doodling on a padded bench in church and haven’t put my pencil down since!
I believe that art allows children to express their emotions, ideas, and perceptions in a unique and tangible way and I love to share that love of art with the incomparable power of a child’s creative mind!
So…..

Over the years I have watched as my son’s interest in art take off. He has so much creativity inside of him and we would watch as it would just flow out onto the page. But in the last year or so I have seen him hit kind of a roadblock. Like what he imagined wasn’t quite coming out of his pen. Like his imagination had outgrown his hands ability to put it down. On paper. I was hesitant to direct him to an art class in fear of having his imaginative side crushed by assignments and expectations and the style of the instructor. I wanted HIS unique style to continue to be nurtured.
Then we found Adam! He is full of that same creative, imaginative energy and it truly ignites the passion in my son and his class mates! Each of Adam’s students feel his excitement, encouragement and focus on their individual gifts. He gives them tools and challenges that stretch their abilities and enhance their natural abilities! He helps them think outside the boxes they may have put themselves in and really helps them to see all of the possibilities! I am so grateful for Adam, his journey to where he is today and how it has led him to guide and mentor young aspiring artists in our community! We are lucky to have him!
